Surabi was selected by the Technology Developement Board,
Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for best indegenous innovation.
The award was given by the former President of India, Dr. A P J Adjul Kalam at function organised to celebrate the Technology Day on 11th May 2010 at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi. Shri Prithviraj Chauhan, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Science and Technology presided over the function.

Prior to 2005 this is how the market looked like, There was the colour Doppler as high hanging fruits. At the entry level there was a class called B&W scanner.
